What a published value means
Every specification on this site carries a basis. The basis is the term of use for that number.

Calculators, selectors and screening results
A tool narrows a field. It does not qualify a part.
The calculators and the selector operate on the inputs you give them and on published catalog values, using the equations shown on each tool page. They screen candidates out and rank what is left. They do not know your mounting, your ambient, your supply impedance, your control scheme, your shock and vibration environment, or your acceptance criteria.
A cross-reference result is a screening candidate. Micro Motion will call it a candidate, list the known differences and the assumptions behind them, and name the tests that would close the gap. It is not a drop-in replacement until test evidence on your assembly says it is, and no table match earns that description.

What is never claimed
- No device approval. Nothing here is an approval, clearance, registration or listing of a medical device, a machine, or any other end product. A motor is a component. Approval belongs to the finished device and to its manufacturer.
- No agency certification is asserted by implication. Where a specific configuration carries a certification, the certificate, its scope and its revision are stated on that configuration. Absence of a statement means no certification is claimed.
- No fitness for a particular purpose. Selection for your application is your engineering judgement, supported by evidence we will produce with you.
- No life or reliability figure without its test. A life number without a stated load, duty cycle, ambient and sample size is not a life number.
Trademarks and part numbers belonging to other manufacturers are used only to identify what you already have.
A cross-reference has to name the incumbent part. Naming it implies no affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement, in either direction.
Content on this site is Micro Motion's, published for engineers to use in their work. Quote it, cite it, and put it in a design review. Do not republish it as your own, and do not scrape it into a derived catalog: automated collection is rate-limited and blocked. Drawings, CAD and documents are provided for evaluation and design-in of the part they describe.
These terms are revision A, effective 2026-08-18. A material change is published as a new revision on this page, with its own effective date. A signed purchase order, quotation or supply agreement governs a commercial relationship and takes precedence over this page.
